Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Tee Verdict, LLC (“Tee Verdict,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares, secures, and deletes information when a merchant installs and uses the Tee Verdict application (the “App”) on their Shopify store. By installing the App you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

When you install and use the App, we collect:

• Store & account data: your .myshopify.com domain, the OAuth access token issued by Shopify, and basic staff/session details Shopify provides (such as the name and email of the user who authenticated).
• Design data you submit: images you upload, design titles, descriptions, tags, niches, and any Shopify product you choose to score.
• Analysis results: the scores, recommendations, explanations, and competitor benchmarks the App generates for your designs.

Information we do not collect

Tee Verdict does not collect, store, or process your store’s customers’ personal information (shoppers). The App operates on merchant-supplied designs and aggregated market data only. We request the minimum Shopify scope needed to read your products and write product metafields (write_products); we do not request access to customer or order data.

How we use information

• To authenticate your store and operate the embedded App.
• To analyze your designs against market data and produce scores, recommendations, and suggestions.
• To write scores back to your product metafields, and — when you choose — to generate listing copy (titles, descriptions, tags) and apply it to your products.
• To provide support, prevent abuse, and maintain and improve the service.

Third-party services & data sharing

We do not sell your data. To provide the service, limited data is shared with the following processors:

• Rainforest API — design titles, tags, niches, and keyword queries are sent as search terms to retrieve licensed Amazon market data. Tee Verdict does not scrape Amazon directly and is not affiliated with Amazon.
• OpenAI — design text and/or images may be sent to generate embeddings, visual analysis, or listing-copy suggestions. Where this is unavailable, the App falls back to local processing instead.
• Hosting & database providers — used to run the App and store your data securely.
• Shopify — for authentication, the embedded admin experience, and billing.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.

Security

All traffic is served over HTTPS. Access tokens and any sensitive credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM and stored in our session store. We restrict access to stored data to what is needed to operate the service.

Data retention & deletion

We retain your store and design data for as long as the App is installed so your dashboard and history remain available. When you uninstall the App, your session is revoked and your store is marked uninstalled. In line with Shopify’s data-protection requirements, we respond to the mandatory compliance webhooks:

• shop/redact — sent by Shopify approximately 48 hours after uninstall; on receipt we permanently delete your store’s data, including scored designs, analysis runs, competitor records, embeddings, settings, uploaded images, and sessions.
• customers/data_request and customers/redact — we honor these, though Tee Verdict stores no store-customer personal data, so there is typically nothing to return or erase.

You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the address below.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information we hold, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email us and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you are located. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Children

The App is a business tool intended for merchants and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by notice within the App.
